Technical Operations Management | Site Development | Vienna South

We are seeking an experienced technical leader for an established Austrian company to take on responsibility for facility management and technical operations at a large corporate site in southern Vienna.

What makes this opportunity particularly exciting is that a new, state-of-the-art corporate facility is currently under construction. You’ll join the team during the project and commissioning phases, help shape key technical and organizational structures, and subsequently take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the building.

We are therefore looking for a technically savvy, confident, and hands-on leader who is eager to take on responsibility and manage a complex facility independently.

Your tasks:

• Overall responsibility for facility management and technical operations at the site, as well as leading and developing the local facility team

• Active involvement in shaping the new company location—from construction meetings and contract awards through the relocation to the coordination of trial operations and commissioning

• Independent management of technical projects and coordination of internal departments, external partners, contractors, and service providers

• Responsibility for building systems, measurement and control, energy and security management—including access control, video surveillance, and fire protection

• Ensuring that all maintenance, inspections, and technical documentation are carried out, as well as compliance with legal, regulatory, and ISO-related requirements

• Technical and financial management of repairs, renovations, and expansions, including soliciting bids, awarding contracts, cost control, and managing our own facility budget

• Organization and further development of site-specific processes—from reception and external services to site policies, visitor management, occupational health, and safety officers

• Long-term technical support for additional Austrian locations as well as future real estate, renovation, and expansion projects

Your profile:

• Solid technical training, ideally an HTL degree or comparable qualification in electrical engineering, building services engineering, HVAC, measurement and control, or a related field

• Several years of experience in technical operations management or facility management at a large and technically complex site

• Ideally, a total of about ten years of professional experience, as well as experience leading a small team

• Broad technical understanding of various trades and how they interact; experience with energy management and energy optimization is a plus

• Basic business acumen and experience with bids, contract awards, cost control, and managing external service providers

• A confident and professional demeanor, strong decision-making skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• A high degree of independence, a strong sense of responsibility, and a hands-on approach

• Proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to take on occasional special assignments related to projects or business needs

The gross monthly salary for this position starts at EUR 4,600. Depending on qualifications and relevant professional experience, we are explicitly willing to offer a higher salary.
