On behalf of our client, an established consulting firm specializing in SAP Utilities and the energy sector, we are seeking an SAP IS-U / SAP Utilities Consultant (m/f/d) with 3–5 years of project experience.
Our client has been a leading SAP Utilities consulting firm in the DACH region for over 25 years and supports energy suppliers and municipal utilities in implementing complex SAP solutions and transformation projects. The firm specializes in SAP IS-U, S/4HANA Utilities, market communication, and regulatory processes in the energy sector.
This role has an operational focus and offers you the opportunity to further build on your experience in the SAP Utilities environment through exciting projects.
Your tasks:

Work on SAP IS-U / SAP Utilities projects for energy suppliers and municipal utilities in the DACH region
-
Analysis of business requirements from the business units and support in the design and implementation of solutions in the SAP IS-U environment

Contribute to the optimization and further development of business processes in the energy sector, particularly in areas such as billing, meter management, market communication, and contract accounts receivable and payable

Support for customizing activities in SAP IS-U, as well as coordination with development teams regarding technical modifications and enhancements

Conducting and documenting tests (unit, integration, and acceptance tests), as well as analyzing and resolving issues within the project context

Assistance with system implementations, release upgrades, and go-live phases, including support during the hypercare phase

Support for system migrations, data harmonization, or transformation projects, particularly in the context of S/4HANA Utilities

Collaboration with departments, development teams, and project management within complex system environments

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications, and process descriptions
Your profile:

3–5 years of professional experience in the SAP Utilities environment, ideally on projects with energy utilities, municipal utilities, or specialized consulting firms
-
Practical experience working on SAP IS-U projects, such as analyzing, implementing, or optimizing energy industry processes

Proficiency in at least one of the following areas:

Device Management
-
Billing
-
Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)

EDM or Market Communication

Initial experience with SAP IS-U Customizing and a solid understanding of the underlying system processes

Ideally, initial experience with S/4HANA Utilities, transformation projects, or system migrations

A basic understanding of energy market processes and the regulatory framework in Germany or Austria

Experience collaborating with departments, developers, and project teams
-
A structured and analytical approach to work, as well as a passion for translating business requirements into technical solutions

Excellent written and spoken German, good English skills
