Our client is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical groups and one of the most important manufacturers of medicinal products. At the Krems an der Donau site, the company operates a central production site with a focus on animal health. Around 300 employees work at this site in the laboratory, production, administration and sales departments.

For our location in Krems, we are looking for a full-time (38 hours per week) employee to start immediately: Automation Technology Specialist (m/f/d) – Pharmaceutical Industry in Krems an der Donau

Your tasks:

  • Support in the development of automation solutions at the Krems site based on the requirements of the system users in cooperation with the respective suppliers and in accordance with the company guidelines
  • Creation of the necessary specifications (user requirements) and participation in risk analyses and hazops
  • Collaboration in the planning and implementation of automation equipment, including acceptance tests at the supplier (FAT) and at the production site (SAT)
  • Support in the qualification of automation equipment: Installation, Operation and Process Qualification
  • Implementing, configuring and testing new production recipes in collaboration with the process experts
  • Support in implementing software modifications in the environment monitoring system (EMS) and production facilities in the role of system owner
  • Support and assistance for system users during operation
  • Maintenance, operating and system support for automation equipment
  • Compliance with GMP guidelines
  • Responsibility for occupational safety in the working environment and for employees of contracted external companies
  • Automation on-call service: remote availability 24/7

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in the field of automation or electrical engineering or comparable fields (completed HTL, FH or university)
  • First professional experience in project planning, programming and commissioning of automation systems (process control systems or PLC and visualization systems) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of sensors and actuators
  • Knowledge of IT and networks
  • Knowledge and understanding of the engineering requirements in the pharmaceutical environment
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to work shifts, including remote on-call duty (sometimes on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays)
